Valiant Space’s pitch night success
August 20th, 2020 - Valiant Space has placed 2nd in the iLab Accelerator program upon the conclusion of the pitch night event. Over the course of 2020, the program has proved invaluable in establishing a strong business acumen within the team and equipping it with the mindset, tools and mentors necessary to excel in the startup world.
“It was fantastic to be able to share the vision of Valiant Space to such an esteemed panel of judges and an online audience,” said Valiant Space CEO, Andrew Uscinski.
Valiant is already looking to the future to expand its operations and increase its capabilities. A key element of this will be the ability to service the in-space propulsion market. Valiant is designing a non-toxic, high-performance and low cost thruster for small satellite applications.
“The space industry is currently heavily reliant upon the use of toxic propellants for in space propulsion,” said Valiant Space CTO, Michael Douw. “Developing a high performance, non-toxic propulsion system will allow unprecedented flexibility in space mission planning for small satellite manufacturers and operators.”
Development of this system is progressing rapidly and it is expected to be ready for testing by the end of the year.
